End Of A "Long-Running Domestic Dispute"
"HUNTLEY, IL – Huntley Police confirmed Thursday that they think the shooting deaths of a man and woman found Wednesday in the woman's residence is a murder-suicide.
"Huntley Police Chief John Perkins said it appears that 39-year-old David J. Griner, the ex-boyfriend of Jennifer L. Beaudion, 33, shot Beaudion before killing himself, possibly on Tuesday night.
"Perkins said the deaths appear to be the end result of a long-running domestic dispute between the two that dates back as far as September.
"`As unfortunate of a situation as it is, it's a difficult cylcle to break,` Perkins said.
"Police found the bodies after conducting a second well-being check on Beaudion, whose boss contacted authorities after she didn't arrive at work. Police said Beaudion's sister-in-law also contacted them and arrived with keys. That's when they discovered the deaths about 1:15 p.m.
"Beaudion requested, and received, an order of protection against Griner on Nov. 20. She said she believed he had put sugar in her car's engine and water in her gas tank after finding out Nov. 12 that she had cheated on him. She said he also called her boss and sent `offensive` text messages to her peers and subordinates at work after finding out she had cheated on him.
"She said she had previously called police after they had argued."
