Gruesome Discovery At Lawyer's Office

"San Fernando, Trinidad - Yesterday was a day of shock for a well known legal family in South Trinidad when lawyer Margaret Shanta Parsad, 52, was discovered dead with her throat slit in the living room of her home at Gordon Street, San Fernando.

"Parsad operated her law chambers from her home and the gruesome discovery was made by two employees when they went to work yesterday morning.

"The lawyer’s estranged lover, businessman Satnanan Maharaj, 48, was also found dead in the master bedroom of the house. Maharaj, a divorcee, lived alone in his apartment at Mt Moriah Road, San Fernando. His L 200 Mitsubishi 4 x 4 van was found at a nearby carpark."
