Three Dead Following Domestic Dispute

"Birmingham, AL - A man is dead outside a Roebuck methadone clinic following a shooting that wounded two other people before the shooter took his own life following a police chase.

"Birmingham police spokesman Sgt. Johnny Williams Jr. said the incident took place at 8:30 at the Tri County Treatment Center at 1101 East Park Drive off Gadsden Highway.

"A man shot another man in the chest outside the clinic, killing him. The shooter then wounded another man and a woman. The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The man was treated at the scene.

"The shooter fired multiple shots.

"Williams said the shooter left the scene in a car where police began pursuing him along Alabama 79 just north of Tarrant, authorities said.

"He refused to stop, and turned left onto Industrial Drive.

"When he reached the intersection of Pine Hill Road and Tarrant Road, he shot himself in the head, authorities said. He then wrecked at 313 Springdale Road. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

"Williams said investigators believe the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute."
