It Was Already Too Late
"DEKALB COUNTY, GA - A husband and wife are dead after an overnight shooting. The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Friday.
"DeKalb County Police said they believe a 34-year-old man shot his wife multiple times before turning the gun on himself around 2 a.m. Friday morning in their Stone Mountain Home on Shadow Lakes Drive.
"Neighbors said the first signs of trouble early Friday morning at a Dekalb County home were after it was already too late.
"Daniel Adenuga woke up to the cries just after 2 a.m. Friday morning on Shadowlakes Drive near Stone Mountain.
"`Heard her scream a couple times, looking for help and was out trying to figure out what was going on. She had run from one end to the other,` said Adenuga.
"Police were on scene within a minute or two in what they are now calling a murder suicide.
"`Once our officer arrived he was directed inside the home by a family member here. He found a man deceased. That officer was then taken to a bedroom where a female was found suffering from multiple gunshot injuries. She was later pronounced dead on the scene,` said Mekka Parish of DeKalb County Police.
"Police said paramedics on scene worked to revive that 24-year-old woman. They said they suspect her 34-year-old husband shot and killed her then turned the gun on himself."
