Woman Survives Murder/Suicide Attempt


"CRESSON, PA - A central Pennsylvania woman is recovering from a shotgun blast to the face fired by a man who, police say, then fatally shot himself.

"Cresson Township police say the shootings occurred Saturday about 11:30 p.m. at a mobile home.

"They say 30-year-old John Adelsbers, of Cresson, shot 42-year-old Kimberly Grant, of Everett, in the side of the face before fatally shooting himself in the head.

"Grant was taken to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh where Cresson Township police say she is in stable condition on Monday.

"Cresson is about 75 miles east of Pittsburgh."
