"Stale Bodies", Dead Cat Found In Apartment

"PHOENIX, AZ — The bodies of a man and woman were found in a Phoenix apartment late Wednesday, both victims of an apparent murder-suicide.

"According to Sgt. Trent Crump with the Phoenix Police Department, a dead cat was also found inside the apartment near 34th Street and Chandler Blvd.

"Crump said family members called authorities after they hadn't heard from the man or woman.

"When police performed a welfare check on Wednesday, they found what was described as stale bodies in the apartment, both shot, along with the dead cat.

"Crump said the man and woman were a couple, but did not elaborate.

"He also said the shooting was part of an apparent murder-suicide."
