Suicide Investigation Turns Up More Bodies

"CHULA VISTA, CA — A woman and two young children were found dead inside a townhouse Wednesday by officers investigating the suicide of a man who jumped to his death from a freeway overpass.

"Authorities say officers were following up on the apparent suicide of a man found in a ravine along state Route 125 in Spring Valley.

"A CHP officer found the man's body and his abandoned car.

"Officers traced the license plate to a woman who worked at San Ysidro High.

"School officials told officers that the woman had not been at work for a few days.

"When officers responded to the woman's home they found the bodies.

"According to the San Diego Tribune, a body of a boy was found in a second-floor bedroom and a large amount of blood on the stairwell.

"The bodies of a woman and girl were also discovered in separate rooms on the third flood.

"Chula Vista police said the children appear to be under age 13.

"Police spokesman Bernard Gonzales told the Tribune that police are investigating the possibility of murder-suicide.

"He said it was not clear whether the woman and children are related to the man found in Spring Valley because he carried no identification."
