Bodies Found In Oil Field

"MIDLAND COUNTY, TX — Officials say the bodies of 44-year-old Elizabeth Rangel Torres and 50-year-old Arturo Alvarado were found April 2 around 4 p.m. Monday near West County Rd. 60 and North County Rd. 1275.

"Officials are investigating this case as a possible murder-suicide.

"Thursday, April 5, Officials say investigators are almost finished with the preliminary investigations.

"`We have a few more people to interview and we want to rule out any possibility of a third person,` said Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter.

"Painter says the road is part of Nobles lease property in Midland County.

"He claims the wells on the property are checked every day, but Monday one Linn property employee made a disturbing discovery."
