"Juvenile Family Member" Finds Bodies Of Pair
"NEW BRAUNFELS, TX — New Braunfels Police are investigating an apparent murder/suicide after two people were found shot to death inside of a mobile home early yesterday morning.
"Officers were first called to the 28-hundred block of Windgate Drive, in the Windgate Mobile Home Park, a little after 7am when a juvenile family member discovered the bodies of two adults, one male and one female, locked inside a bedroom inside the mobile home.
"The two victims had apparently been shot to death, each suffering gunshot wounds to the head. The man and woman were common-law married and both lived in that home along with other family members. Their next of kin was notified and they were identified as 37-year old Elizabeth Trevino and 39-year old Augustine Garcia.
"The Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division spent several hours at the scene yesterday, going over the crime scene and collecting evidence. A New Braunfels Police Department spokesman [said] that there are currently no suspects that they believe are on the loose, but since the case is an ongoing investigation other details, like the kind of gun used and the circumstances surrounding the shooting deaths are not yet being made public."
