Cleveland Six Pack

"Cleveland, OH - An Ohio man suspected in the murder of five of his family members committed suicide surrounded by police. Authorities say Devon Crawford, 33, shot himself after police surrounded him in a house [on the 3500 block of West 128th Street].

"`They confronted the male hiding in a bathroom. When he spotted the agents, he took his own life,` said a police spokesman.

"Crawford was suspected in the killings of his wife, Lechea Crawford; her sister, Rose Stevens; and three of Stevens’ children, 5-year-old Destiny Woods and 2-year-old twins Dion and Davion.

"A 7-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy managed to escape. The 7-year-old was shot in the shoulder but is in stable condition. Crawford’s 2-month-old daughter with Lechea was unharmed.

"The manhunt for Crawford was launched Thursday night around 8 p.m. `It looks like it was some type of domestic argument that sparked this tragedy,` said Police Chief Michael McGrath."
