Welfare Check Finds Elderly Couple DEAD

"Las Vegas, NV - An elderly couple was found dead from an apparent murder-suicide at a residence on the 9900 block Charlemont Drive near Lake Mead Boulevard and Snow Trail on Tuesday night, Las Vegas police said.

"Officers went to the home to conduct a welfare check around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday and didn't receive a response from the man and woman believed to be inside. After gaining entrance, an officer found the couple, both in their seventies, dead in a master bedroom of a single gunshot wound the head each.

"Homicide detectives determined it was a murder-suicide and police said the couple suffered from medical issues.

"The identities of the man and woman were not released by Las Vegas police."
