Couple Had "Finalized Their Divorce"

"LUDLOW, MA - New details are emerging about an elderly Ludlow couple that died in an apparent murder-suicide. Ludlow police say the couple had just finalized their divorce on March 11.

"Ludlow Police Sgt. Thomas Foye told 22News the ex-husband, Armelin Quiterio, was found holding a 357 revolver.

"Seventy-four year-old Armelin Quiterio and his ex-wife, 67 year-old Penha Quiterio, were found dead in bed Thursday night at the home at 19 Cherry Street during a well-being check. Both suffered gun shot wounds to the head.

"A son called Ludlow Police on Thursday night and asked them to check on his parents.

"Sgt. Foye said the bodies had been there for several days."
