"QUINTON, VA - The New Kent Sheriff's Office was contacted Friday afternoon around 1:30 by a family member to conduct a welfare check at 3800 New Kent Highway in Quinton. "The family member stated that no one had been in contact with the residents at this address for several days.
"Upon forcing entry into the residence, two adults were discovered in an upstairs bedroom with gunshot wounds.
"The victims were transported to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Richmond for further evaluation.
"The names of the victims are not being released pending notice to the next of kin."
