Mother And Son Dead In Murder/Suicide

"MARLBOROUGH TWP, PA - Police and prosecutors said they are investigating the deaths of a man and his elderly mother as a possible case of murder-suicide.

"Emergency dispatchers said they got the call to respond to the 900 block of Lakeview Drive in the Green Hill mobile home park in Marlborough Township, Montgomery County shortly before 10:00 this morning.

"The scene is not too far off Route 29, between Green Lane and Red Hill.

"Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman [said] the initial investigation makes it appear that a 45-year-old man shot and killed his 78-year-old mother and then himself.

"She said she believes it happened overnight.

"So far, authorities are not releasing the names of the people involved.

"An official ruling on the deaths is pending the outcome of autopsies."
