Brother And Sister Found Dead

"York Township, PA - A brother and sister are dead in what appears to be a murder-suicide in York Township, the county coroner said.

"The bodies were found about 9:30 this morning in a home on Suburban Road, according to York Area Regional Police Sgt. Rod Varner.

"The bodies have probably been there since Sunday, York County Coroner Barry Bloss said.

"The bodies were discovered when the woman did not show up for work, and someone from her employer came to look for her, Bloss said. That person found the back door to the apartment unlocked, discovered the bodies inside and called 911.

"The brother and sister, who both lived in the home, appear to have died from gunshot wounds, Bloss said. He said officials have recovered a weapon.

"Bloss said it is too early to identify the pair, although he said the man was in his 50s and the woman was in her 40s.

"He also said the woman worked in food services at York Hospital.

"Varner would not yet say which person police suspect was the shooter."
