Health Issues Lead To Murder, Suicide
"Reading, PA - Police in Berks County are investigating a murder-suicide at a home on West Lawn Avenue in Spring Township. Officers were called there Sunday evening; they say Gary Lena, 67, shot his mother Kathryn, 97, before turning the gun on himself.
"Investigators say a family member discovered the bodies just after 5:00 p.m., and had a neighbor call 911.
"Police say both Gary and Kathryn had health issues which may have played a part in the murder-suicide.
"The investigation is ongoing."
