"No History Of Domestic Violence"

"Binghamton, NY - Sy Thongthip, 71, shot his wife, Keng Thongthip, 61, and then turned a shotgun on himself late Sunday night in what police describe as a murder/suicide.

"The incident occurred at a first floor apartment at 60 Lake Ave. in Binghamton's First Ward. Police say there was an apparent domestic dispute that may have fueled the murder/suicide. The wife died instantly from a shotgun wound to the head. The husband initial survived a shotgun wound to the head but died at 5:30 a.m. Monday at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City.

"Family members told police there was no history of domestic violence."
