Crime Scene Not A Pretty Sight
"Shelby County, TN - Crime tape surrounds the home at 3947 Charles Bartlett.
"Inside, detectives say it isn't a pretty sight.
"It's where they found 41-year-old Lisa Joyner dead and her 39-year-old friend, Scotty Uselton, injured.
"They had both been shot in the home, which sits in a field secluded from the main street. It's so secluded that neighbors never heard anything.
"`The house is so far off the road, you can't even see the house from the road. Every once and a while you might see a car come in or out,` says neighbor Mickey Miller.
"Deputies say 71 year old Victor Turosky was the gunman.
"They say he had apparently been drinking with Joyner and Uselton earlier in the evening when they got into an argument.
"Sometime around 3am Turosky came back.
"`A man barged into the home. There was a struggle, a confrontation and there was a shooting, just on his part apparently,` says Steve Shular, with the Shelby County Sheriff's Department.
"A short time later, the Sheriff's Department got a call of another shooting near Victor Turosky's home.
"They went to a wooded area and found Turosky dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound. Deputies say he had just been released from a Millington jail for a DUI.
"`From what I understand, it's all domestic. Everybody knew everybody. That relieves us a little bit. There again, it's still kinda close to home, makes us a little nervous you know.` says Miller.
"Detectives aren't saying what the three had been arguing about.
"They may be able to get some answers from Scotty Uselton. He is in fair condition at the hospital."
