"Peoria, IL - Peoria County police are trying to figure out why a West Peoria couple was found shot dead inside their home Tuesday morning. Police are calling it a double homicide but are also investigating it as a possible murder-suicide."Around 8:30 in the morning, Police are called to the 1500 block of Vaughn Avenue after a family member makes a gruesome discovery.
"Inside the home, 52-year-old Connie Selburg and her husband 57-year-old Robert Selburg are found dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
"`If you're asking me whether this was a murder-suicide, it may be versus someone on the outside going in there and shooting them,` Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says.
"Police say they are not searching for any suspects.
"The Coroner says Connie died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and upper body while Robert died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
"`Connie was found sitting in a chair in the family room slash living room of the residence and Robert was found on the bed in the bedroom,` Ingersoll says.
"Police recovered two guns inside the home."
