Pair Found Dead

"Monett, MO - Police in Monett, Missouri say a man and woman, who were found dead inside a house Sunday, died from an apparent murder-suicide.

"Officers were called to the house on Euclid Street by friends of the woman living there. Investigators say they found the house locked, but kicked in the door after seeing a man's body through a window.

"Inside, officers found Curtis Carter, 26, and Shelly Garner, 31. Both were dead. A high-powered rifle was near Carter's body.

"The two had been living at the house with Garner's 6-year old daughter. The child was not home at the time."
