Bodies Found In Parking Lot
"FAIRFIELD, CT - A murder-suicide left an unidentified man and woman dead from gunshot wounds early Saturday in a car parked in a Black Rock Turnpike commuter lot off the Merritt Parkway.
"The couple was discovered about 3:45 a.m. by a Fairfield officer on routine patrol, who noticed their car had several broken windows, according to Sgt. James Perez, the Fairfield police spokesman.
"After securing the scene, Fairfield police turned the investigation over to State Police.
"The man and woman, both of whom appeared to be in their 70s, had apparently died from their wounds several hours earlier, Perez said.
"Lt. J. Paul Vance, State Police spokesman, said state troopers and the Major Crime Squad responded to the scene about 7 a.m.
"He said no identifying information about the two dead would be released Saturday and post-mortem exams were scheduled for Sunday.
"`Out of deference to the family we don't get into much detail in a murder-suicide,` Vance said. `There's no criminal aspect to this case.`"
