Unknown Motive In New Year's Day Murder/Suicide

"LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities say a man fatally shot his wife, then killed himself, at their Watts home on New Year's Day.

"Los Angeles Police Officer Norma Eisenman says the couple's daughter called 911 Friday afternoon to report that her father had shot her mother, then turned the gun on himself.

"Jose and Paula Torres were both pronounced dead at the scene.

"A motive for the shooting was not immediately known."
