Two Dead In Motel Murder/Suicide

"BOSTON, MA - Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide at a North Attleboro motel on Sunday morning, according to the Bristol County District Attorney.

"The double shooting occurred at about 9:30 a.m. at the Pineapple Motor Inn at 633 S. Washington Street. Investigators believe a 23-year-old man fatally shot a 20-year-old woman who was staying in a room with him at the motel before shooting himself, the district attorney said in a statement.

"The woman was pronounced dead at the hotel. The man was rushed to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, then transferred to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, where he was pronounced dead.

"The identities of the man and woman have not been released pending notification of family members.

"The North Attleboro and Seekonk police departments are assisting the district attorney’s office and Massachusetts State Police in the investigation."
