Car Fire Deaths May Be Murder/Suicide
"WINCHESTER, TN - A Nashville family is in shock and disbelief after an apparent murder suicide involving a mother, and her 7-year-old daughter.
"Emergency crews were summoned to a vehicle fire in the community of Sewanee, in Franklin County Saturday along Highway 41-A.
"When the smoke cleared, responders were alarmed to find an adult and child burned beyond recognition.
"Deputies escorting a funeral procession first spotted the car on fire.
"The sheriff said there are many unknowns in this shocking and bizarre case. The sheriff cannot say for certain it's a murder-suicide, nor can he say for certain it was Valerie Gooden and her 7-year-old daughter, Willow Gooden, who literally burned alive until an autopsy gives a clearer picture.
"The sheriff wants to hear from anyone who may have passed-by Valerie Gooden's vehicle in the moments before the fire."
