Motel Madness Leaves Three Dead
"AMITY TOWNSHIP, PA - Christopher Dieter, a suspect in the shooting deaths of two sisters in a Berks County motel office, has taken his own life.
"Berks County District Attorney John Adams said Friday that 38-year-old Christopher Dieter shot himself in a Lancaster County hotel with the same shotgun that was used on the victims.
"Authorities still don't know of a motive in the deaths of 60-year-old Carolyn Ann Levan, manager of the Hillside Motel, and her 57-year-old sister Charlene Dale Levan.
"According to investigators, the sisters were employed by the motel. Investigators said the women were found in the employee office at the hotel. Carolyn lived at the hotel and her sister was from Pottstown.
"They were found dead of gunshot wounds to the head Tuesday at the Hillside Motel on U.S. 422 in Amity Township, Pennsylvania Tuesday evening.
"The deadly shooting remains under police investigation."
