Cops Investigate "Grisly Scene"

"BRONX, NY — Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide after discovering a man and woman dead in a Bronx apartment.

"Marie Jannette Lawrence, 30, was found dead in her apartment on Grand Avenue near West 180th Street in University Heights. She had suffered a gunshot wound to her head.

"Batu McClary-Griggs, 37, who lived with her, was also found shot in the head on the floor near the sofa, cops said. His relationship with Lawrence was not clear.
Cops made the discovery after Lawrence's father reported he hadn't heard from her since Tuesday.

"Police are investigating their deaths as a murder and suicide. Officers found a .357 caliber Tarus Magnum at the grisly scene."
