Mother, Two Sons Found Dead

"ABILENE, TX — Abilene Police are investigating what appears to be a double murder suicide on the north side of town.

"Sgt. Lynn Beard [said] a mother and two sons were found dead inside a home in the 1600 block of Beechwood.

"APD got the call around 7:30 p.m. Thursday from a family member who was concerned they hadn't heard from the people living there.

"Beard said they believe the bodies have been dead for several days.

"Abilene Police issued this press release regarding the incident:

"`The Abilene Police Department responded to a call of a death investigation on the north side of town. The Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene and conducted an investigation on what appears to be a double murder suicide. The names of the deceased are being held until next of kin has been notified.`"
