Estranged Couple Found Dead Of Gunshot Wounds

"DRESDEN, TN — Weakley County authorities are investigating an apparent murder/suicide east of Dresden.

"The Weakley County Sheriff’s Department responded shortly before 8 a.m. today (Thursday) to 2586 Paris Highway 54, east of Dresden, and found 51-year-old Janice E. Reasons dead of a gunshot wound.

"During subsequent investigation, Ms. Reasons’ estranged husband, 54-year-old Randy Reasons, was found dead in another area from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to sheriff’s investigator Randall McGowan.

"Both bodies have been sent for autopsy.

"The case remains under investigation by the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department, with investigator Marty Plunk assigned as the lead investigator. The sheriff’s department is being assisted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation."
