"Double Suicide" Turns Into Single
"FORT WAYNE, IN — Two deaths on Beaver Avenue that were originally thought to be a double suicide have now been determined to be a homicide/suicide.
"The Fort Wayne Police Department preliminarily reported at the scene that it was a double suicide, but autopsies performed Thursday determined that not to be the case.
"Around 1:40 p.m., emergency responders were called to the home on 3221 Beaver Avenue and found two shot to death.
"The Allen County Coroner’s Office reported Tanya Armour, 54 killed Grady Edwards, 56 when she shot him in the neck, then shot herself in the head. It is not known what the specific relationship was between the two. The report only indicated that Armour was reported to be the "companion" of Edwards.
"Edwards is the 17th homicide victim in Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2011. The incident remains under investigation by the FWPD and the Allen County Coroner’s Office."
