Dispute Leads To Death Of Neighbors
"DELAND, FL — A Volusia County man shot his neighbor to death Monday and then killed himself, the Sheriff's Office said.
"Deputies found Dominick Frangiamore, 62, on the floor of his screened porch on 10 Oak Circle, near DeLand, about 5:20 p.m., they said. He had been shot several times.
"A SWAT team was called and, after several hours, they found Mark Carper, 47, dead in his home of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught said. They had been negotiating with Carper, but eventually he did not respond to their efforts to engage him by telephone.
"There had been a neighborhood dispute, but deputies didn't have details Monday night.
"Frangiamore was conscious when he was transported by medical helicopter to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, but doctors could not save him, the Sheriff's Office said."
