Gunfire Settles Argument

"DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, FL — Police are investigating a possible murder after which the suspect is thought to have turned a gun on himself.

"Cleveland Gettis, 33, and Saleisha Richardson, 28, died from gunshot wounds at their home in DeFuniak Springs on Saturday afternoon.

"The shooting was reported about 3:30 p.m. at 321 Quebec Ave.

"Witnesses said they believe Gettis shot Richardson and then shot himself after they got into an argument, said DeFuniak Springs Police Lt. Tilman Mears.

"Mears said the gun was found at the scene.

"Gettis and Richardson knew each other, but the police said the exact nature of their relationship was unknown Saturday night.

"Officials from the Medical Examiner’s Office were at the home Saturday evening.

"Mears said police did not have a motive for the shooting and that the investigation was continuing."
