1 Dead, 1 "Grave" In California

"Visalia, CA - Visalia police have identified both victims of what they are calling an attempted murder-suicide earlier today in west Visalia.

"Earl Mitchell, 23, of Visalia was found dead with a single gunshot wound to the head inside a residence on the 2300 block of Sunnyside Avenue near Sallee Street just after 4:10 p.m., witnesses and police reported.

"Celina Gonzales, 22, also of Visalia, was also found with a gunshot wound to the head at the same location and transported to an unnamed local hospital for treatment. Her condition was termed `grave` by Visalia police.

"Visalia police reported that Mitchell was the likely shooter, killing himself in the process. The case remains under investigation."
