Caretaker Declines Comment
"Naples, FL - The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a murder-suicide involving an elderly couple who were shot to death at the Naples Land Yacht Harbor mobile home park in East Naples.
"Just before noon, the Sheriff’s Office received a call from a caretaker who discovered an elderly male and female dead inside their home at 113 Pier J, inside the park.
"Neighbors identified the couple as Arthur Paul McGill, 91, and Florence Ann McGill, 87, who had lived in the park for at least 30 years. A white Honda Civic registered to the couple was parked in the carport.
"The Sheriff’s Office confirmed their identities late Friday afternoon.
"`I can confirm it was apparent gun shot wounds,` Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kristie Lester said when asked how they were killed. Investigators are trying to determine who the shooter was.
"On Friday afternoon, crime scene investigators, deputies and a detective were gathered at the white mobile home, which was wrapped in crime scene tape. A few friends and neighbors stopped by to see what was going on.
"The caretaker who discovered the couple declined comment."
