"History Of Domestic Violence" Ends Abruptly
"Scotland Neck, NC — A Scotland Neck man shot and killed his 34-year-old wife before turning the gun on himself early Saturday, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.
"Sgt. G. Evans said deputies received a call about a possible murder-suicide at 67 Access Road, off N.C. Highway 125, shortly before 7 a.m. At the home, they found the bodies of Jesus Flores, 41, and Catherine Flores, he said.
"Investigators determined that Jesus Flores killed Catherine Flores and then himself.
"The couple had a history of domestic violence, Evans said. According to the state Department of Correction, Jesus Flores was convicted of assault on a female in 1992."
