Cops Sorting Through Details Of Botched Murder/Suicide

"SMITHS STATION, AL — The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating an attempted murder and suicide at a home near Smith Station High School.

"According to the sheriff's office, the call came in around 7:00 a.m. CST on Wednesday. Deputies are continuing to sort through the details of the incident but do say it was a domestic dispute that happened on Lee Road 728.

"However, the sheriff's office is reassuring parents and residents that students attending the school are not in danger and were not ever in danger."
