Police Chase Ends In Murder/Suicide

"GLADE SPRING, VA — Police in Washington County, Virginia spent the night on the scene of a murder-suicide.

"Washington County, Virginia Sheriff Fred Newman says the incident started in Smyth County when a man kidnapped a woman, then drove away in a green Chevy Tahoe truck.

"Police spotted the truck in Abingdon, and followed it.

"The chase ended in Glade Spring, where officers say the man shot and killed the woman, and then killed himself."
