Few Details In Shooting Deaths

"WALTHAM, MA — Two bodies were found on Coolidge Avenue, Waltham in what is an apparent murder-suicide, officials report.

"No details have been released by the Waltham Police or Middlesex District Attorney's office regarding the incident, but police communications this afternoon reported a shooting on Coolidge Avenue.

"Mayor Jeannette McCarthy told the Waltham News Tribune it was a murder-suicide.

"Claire Dallaire, a neighbor who lives at 42 Coolidge Ave., said the incident happened at 39 Coolidge Avenue, in the northern part of the city.

"Dallaire said the home belongs to Mike and Cindy Coutoumas. Police have not confirmed whether the Coutoumases are involved in the incident. A woman Dallaire identified as Mike Coutoumas' sister was rushed into the house by police at about 4:30 p.m. Friday.

"Access to houses adjacent to that address were blocked off Friday afternoon as state and Waltham Police investigated.

"A spokeswoman for Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone's office said the DA has not yet confirmed any details regarding the incident."
