Cops Not Sure Who Shot Who

"CHARDON, OH — A couple is dead after a murder-suicide on Route 44 in Chardon, according to police.

"The shooting happened at Cooke’s Complete Service Center, located at 500 Center Street, at 9:36 a.m. Tuesday.

"In a news conference, Chardon Police Lieutenant Troy Duncan said the two victims were husband and wife.

"Duncan said one of the victims worked at the service center but the other did not. He said it appeared the employee arrived there first and the other victim separately. It also appeared the shooting was outside of the building.

"It is not yet clear if the male or female victim died from the self-inflicted gunshot wound.

"Names of the victims are not being released pending family notification.

"Authorities are continuing to investigate."
