"BAT CAVE, NC — The Henderson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible murder-suicide in Bat Cave, according to Capt. Frank Stout."Investigators were called Monday to a home at 1571 Gerton Highway. Stout said David Karl Anderson, 54, and Paula Molinas, 55, were found dead by friends, who called 911.
"A handgun was used, Stout said, and investigators can't say who was the shooter.
"Anderson and Molinas were in a long-term relationship, Stout said. They had a history of domestic disputes, he added, and deputies are familiar with the address.
"Stout said the friends hadn't seen Anderson in a few days and went to check on him at about 10 a.m. Monday morning. After talking with family and friends, investigators said the couple probably died five days ago.
"The bodies have been sent to the medical examiner's office for autopsies."
