Shooter And Victim In Critical Condition
"CINCINNATI, OH — The director of operations at Cincinnati Memorial Hall shot his girlfriend Friday, then turned the gun on himself in a botched murder-suicide attempt, Cincinnati police said.
"Cincinnati police officials said they believe Ray Henry, 45, shot Marianna Potee, 43, in a car at 324 E. 14th St., then shot himself.
"The shooting happened about 1:20 p.m. Friday, just north of the city’s new casino site.
"Henry and Potee were taken to University Hospital with critical injuries.
"Police continue to investigate the shooting."

"happy ending"
ReplyDeleteNice tag, lol!
I hope no one ever LOL on your parents obituary. We didn't ask this to happen, she's not the only victim, she is just the only one who's vile actions of infidelity hurt everyone involved. Hopefully she is healthy and morally evolved.
DeleteThis man took himself out the lives of both his daughter and young grandson. There is no happy ending
ReplyDelete6 years later, I am starting to heal. My son is excellent. We miss my father, but his choice has inspired me to take a different route. I love and respect my Dad. I am just glad he is no longer in pain from being manipulated and abused.
DeleteHopefully Ray is rotting in hell for the damage he has caused! Hopefully his grandson and daughter didn't inherit his mental issues. How in the world did none of the people that call themselves his friends see his severe depression and step in??
ReplyDeleteIt's the little things along the way that we use our intuitions for when we feel something not quite right in a situation. A comment in the media by a close associate was, to paraphrase--- "he seemed to be trying to tell me about his depression, but just couldn't do it". Really? Then take initiative whenever you find yourself up against something like this. And indeed, there will be no happy ending ever possible with this tragedy. Everyone loses, and the nature of suicidal males tends to lead toward that being part of their motive; amongst others.
DeleteI'd love to know what friend of my parents is saying this.
DeleteMs. Potee was NOT his girlfriend! Only an acquaintance. She's happily married!
ReplyDeleteI am his daughter. She stayed the weekend at my house in Indianapolis and introduced herself as his girlfriend. She was an alcoholic drug user married to a sugar daddy. My Dad should not have did what he did and I do not defend his action. Consequently, I do not endorse her using my Dad as a sex object.
DeleteWell that explains it. Of course she was NOT his girlfriend because she is happily married. yeah riiiiiiiiiiiiight.
ReplyDelete"Sorry Ray, I can't see you anymore. I can't leave my husband."
"F-ING B!TCH"
POW POW
Moral of this story: Don't eff around when you are married!!!
Dont pass judgement on something you know nothing about. You dont even know her. Just because some woman is friends with a man does not make her a slut that is messing around behind her husbands back. He obviously had issues, and yes...she was only a friend to him who was giving him a ride. So unless you know the woman, which I do, dont go pointing your condemning finger at people
DeleteShe stayed at my house with my child multiple times. She used my Dad as a sex object. He should not have done it. I am certain her marriage is stronger now. God bless.
DeleteMarianna Potee was not his girlfriend. She was only trying to give a friend a ride and got caught in his depressive state. Her niece was also in that car and the horror that teenager is facing is mind-bending! Get well Marianna!!
ReplyDeleteI am his daughter and it occured on my birthday. Mariana was having a sexual relationship with my Dad for a long time. I can't understand why she brought a teenager to a drug dealing gigalos house. I have cried daily since 2012. Hopefully Mariana is recovered and changed her promiscuous ways. To deny my father was her paramour is absurd. Good luck to you.
DeleteI knew this fellow in passing. This fellow was apparently in a problem and saw no other way out. Too bad someone else had to fall with Mr. Henry.
ReplyDeleteSome compassion, please.
That's my father. He is an amazing man. This senseless act does not define him. She was a Jezebel. I am hopeful the others have overcome their trauma. This occured on my 25th birthday. Had to go in UC and see my precious dad's face blown off over a scandalous aging sugar baby alcoholic. My father had never owned a gun or fired one before that day.
DeleteThis woman cheated on her husband with Ray and many other men. If she survives she will have the rest of her life to think about it...
ReplyDeleteRegardless of the relationship between Ms. Potee and Mr. Henry...solving a personal problem with a gun, and shooting it at close range with a third party on the scene, is a quite dark act to commit. There were deeper issues concerning Mr. Henry that surpass any the other parties may have. Now, due to this incident, there will be additional difficulties to overcome by the survivors. The whole situation is deplorable.
ReplyDeletedeplorable is right,,,,Ray ruined many lives, the 16 year olds' life who has to live with, seeing her favorite person,in the whole world, get shot and hear him drowning in his own blood. Did you all see his last post on FB? He was very sick. The killer inside me.......he had you all fooled. Deplorable doesn't even begin.....
ReplyDeleteMs.potee is fine and recovering really well. her husband loves her very much and is right by her side the whole way. get well marianna
ReplyDeleteThat's fantastic! She is so lucky he would still have her!
DeleteI have known Marianna most of my life and she is a wonderful human being who did not deserve this!! And for the person who wrote ""Sorry Ray, I can't see you anymore. I can't leave my husband."
ReplyDelete"F-ING B!TCH". You know nothing about Marianna at all!!!!!!!!!!
I love Marianna very Much and I'm always with Marianna a lot.I'm Marianna Potee sister in law If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all Thank you
