1 Dead After Botched Murder/Suicide In Parking Lot

"HENDERSON, NC — Authorities are investigating a double shooting in Henderson.

"It happened Saturday morning at the ACS Building, an answering service in Henderson located near Vance-Granville Community College.

"Sheriff Peter White says Marcus Antwan Hammie, 26, of Henderson shot at a female ACS employee during a domestic dispute in the parking lot. He then turned the gun on himself.

"Authorities' say Shandria Shaw, 25, of Norlina was shot several times in the dispute.

"She is in critical condition at Duke University Hospital.

"Hammie was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

"No further information on the case has been released."
