2 Dead, 1 Critical In Attempted Double Murder/Suicide
"DEDHAM, MA — A man shot his wife dead and wounded his 26-year-old daughter before turning the gun on himself, Norfolk County District Attorney William Keating said.
"William Spada, 53, was found dead at 1:36 a.m. Tuesday alongside his wife, Patricia, 51, in their home on 2 Carmichael Circle in Dedham. The couple’s daughter, Deidre, was in critical condition at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston Tuesday morning, Keating said.
"Deidre Spada’s boyfriend, who lives at the house, was there when the shootings happened and identified William Spada as the shooter. The boyfriend, who is 27, called for help.
"The young man works for Spada at his paving company. The family has a son who is attending college out of state, Keating said.
"He said there is no history of police being called to the Carmichael Circle address before for domestic disturbances.
"Police found a handgun in the house which they believe to be the weapon Spada used, Keating said.
State Police and Dedham detectives are investigating and were searching the house this morning."
