"LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ — Police in Lake Havasu City are investigating a murder-suicide involving a man and his 84-year-old mother.
"Police responded Monday evening to a residence in the 3500 block of Bali Drive for a welfare check after a neighbor reported not seeing any movement at the house for a few days.
"Officers entered the home and discovered the bodies of two adults and two dogs.
"Investigators believe 43-year-old Donald Larson killed his mother Audrey Larson sometime last weekend, shot the two dogs and then committed suicide.
"Police say Donald Larson lived at the house with his mother. They say a motive for the murder-suicide is unclear."
