Father And Son Murder/Suicide

"FAIRFAX, MO — The Atchison County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent murder-suicide.

"Deputies responded around 12 a.m. Wednesday to a report that a man had been killed, leading them on a chain of events that led to the discovery of a second body.

"The sheriff's department had been informed a Fairfax, Missouri man had been killed by his son and that the son was intending to take his own life.

"They then discovered a 54 year-old male who they believed to have been fatally stabbed.

"As they continued investigating they also found 28 year-old male dead from a self-inflicted gun shot wound in a different rural Fairfax residence.

"The sheriff’s office is still investigating these events."
