One Dead In Botched Double Murder/Suicide

"ASHEVILLE, NC — The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office says one man is dead and two more injured after a shooting at 68 Frisbee Road in the Leicester community.

"Deputies said just after noon Wednesday, they received a call about the shooting.

"When they arrived, they found three men who suffered gunshot wounds: David Cartwright, of Leicester; Eric Cartwright, of Asheville; and William Cassada of Candler.

"Witnesses told deputies the three men were involved in an altercation and one of the men shot the other two before shooting himself.

"Cartwright was pronounced dead at the scene and the other two men are being treated at the hospital."
