Death In Separate Bedrooms

"ARLINGTON, TX — Two people are dead in an apparent murder-suicide in east Arlington early Monday morning, police said.

"Arlington police responded to a call of a shooting at 2123 Glenhaven Street at about 2 a.m., Arlington police spokeswoman Tiara Richard said.

"The 19-year old daughter of Margarita Santos-Najera, 44, found her mother dead in her bedroom and called 911, Richard said. The daughter, who has not been named, hid in a closet with her infant child when she made the emergency call, Richard said.

"When police arrived, they found Santos-Najera's ex-boyfriend, Antonio Astello, 41, dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in a separate bedroom, Richard said.

"Astello was no longer in a relationship with Santos-Najera but was still living in the house at the time, Richard said.

"The daughter and her infant were uninjured, Richard said."
