Domestic Disturbance Leaves Two Dead

"CHIPLEY, FL — Washington County authorities have released the identities of two people killed in an apparent murder-suicide at 3008 Wyatt Drive in Wausau.

"Found dead at the scene were Louise Marie Davis, 43, and Gregory Lynn Davis, 49.

"WCSO said that in the early morning hours of Friday, the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from the residence on Wyatt Drive requesting EMS assistance. The call is believed to have been placed by Louise Davis, requesting EMS assistance for her mother because she had fallen in the shower.

"Initial investigation revealed Gregory Davis had come to the home and attacked both his wife, Louise, and mother-in-law, Marie Riley, 72, before allowing Riley to flee the home. WCSO said he then shot his wife and himself.

"The investigation is still ongoing at this time and additional details will be released as they become available, WCSO said."

  1. It really burns my beans when I can't tell from a local news organization's Web site what state the story comes from.

"Wausau" was the offending city here. I would've assumed Wisconsin, but there's no "Wyatt Drive" there.

When I found it was actually Wausau, Florida—the Panama City News Herald was a big clue, but the first article I checked was from a radio station in Mississippi—I found there was no "Wyatt Drive" there, either.

But Greg & Louise's info on pipl.com put them in Chipley, Florida on Wyatt Drive.

Sometimes being a Internet sleuth sucks.
