Woman Dead, Shooter Critical In Botched Murder/Suicide

"PENSACOLA, FL — The Escambia County Sheriff's Office is investigating a murder-attempted suicide.

"People living at the Hunters Oaks Apartments (7591 W. Highway 98) in West Pensacola called 911 after hearing gunshots around 9:30 a.m. Witnesses say a man and a woman were arguing in their apartment. The man shot at her and she ran to another nearby apartment. He chased after her. The people who live in that apartment ran out. They heard several gunshots.

"`Our patrol deputies were unable to make contact with the suspect or victim inside the apartment,` said sheriff’s office spokesman Chris Welborn. `Our SWAT and Hostage Negotiations Teams were then called out.`

"SWAT deputies made entry into the apartment around 11:00 a.m. They found 33-year-old Teva Bradley suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and the body of a 27-year-old woman.

"Bradley was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

"Deputies believe Bradley killed the woman before shooting himself. The Sheriff’s Office are not releasing the victim’s name until her family is notified."
