One Dead, One Critically Injured In Highway Shooting
"UTICA, OH — A St. Louisville woman is dead, and a Frazeysburg man is in critical condition Saturday after a shooting Friday night in southeast Knox County.
"Lilly Dawn Pressley-Claggett, 35, was found fatally shot around 10:30 p.m. Friday at the scene of car crash on Ohio 586 south of Purity Road, according to a news release from the Ohio Highway Patrol.
"Her passenger, Jesse Bernard Collins, 30, of Frazeysburg, is in critical condition at Ohio State University Medical Center.
"An investigation revealed Pressley-Claggett was driving a vehicle north on Ohio 586 when it went off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
"Crews responding to the crash found both Pressley-Claggett and Collins had been shot.
"Pressley-Claggett was dead at the scene, and Collins was flown to OSU, according to the release.
"The incident appears to have stemmed from a domestic dispute. A weapon was recovered at the scene, according to the release.
"It is unknown if the shooting occurred before or after the crash.
"The patrol, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Licking County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall’s Office still are investigating the shooting."
