"Double Shooting" Declared Murder/Suicide

"MILLINGTON, TN — The investigation of a double shooting at a house in the 6500 block of Walsh Road has been declared a murder-suicide, Shelby County sheriff’s deputies say.

"According to authorities, 51-year-old Regina Daniel and 63-year-old Troy Daniel were found shot in their home in Millington around 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2011. Troy Daniel, who was found lying in the kitchen, was shot twice in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Shot multiple times, Regina Daniel was taken to The MED in serious condition for her injuries, and died around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011."
